OFA and OSA De-Support Notice

Oracle will be de-supporting Oracle Financial Analyzer (OFA)  and Oracle Sales Analyzer (OSA) and at the end of this year.   Below is the support you can expect to see from Oracle:

Error Correction Support (ECS): 31-DEC-2009
ECS includes the following:

Telephone and Electronic support, consisting of:

Answers to customers’ questions Workarounds, where possible
Assistance with migration plans to a supported platform and/or product

 

Bug fixes and Backporting of fixes
Certification with supported products, newer operating system versions or new compilers
Escalation support, response time adherence and skill availability

Extended Support (ES):  31-DEC-2010
ES includes the following:

Telephone and Electronic support, consisting of:

 

 

Answers to customers’ questions
Assistance with migration plans to a supported platform and/or product
Workarounds, where possible

 

We have several customers that have successfully used OFA and OSA for years and are still getting value out of it.  We want to make sure you are well covered when this software is officially de-supported from Oracle. We have presentations on comparisons of Essbase and Oracle OLAP, two common technologies for replacing OFA and OSA and other Express-based applications.  Hyperion Planning could be another migration path.  Check out Oracles website for additional information on the de-support for OFA or OSA.
