Dan Vlamis has been working with Oracle BI technology (and its predecessors) for over two decades and has led hundreds of BI projects with many of America's leading corporations. Dan started his career working for Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) after graduating with a BA in Computer Science from Brown University in 1986. He worked on Express applications at IRI for six years and led development team for the back end portion of what would later be named Oracle Sales Analyzer after Oracle purchased the Express product line from IRI in 1995. Dan moved from the Boston area to Kansas City to be closer to family in 1992 and founded Vlamis Software Solutions. Dan oversees all of Vlamis Software's projects and takes a personal interest in every project. Dan has been recognized as an "Oracle ACE Director". A passionate and dynamic speaker, Dan is in demand as a speaker at major Oracle conferences and events. He serves on the BIWA SIG board. Dan is a regular beta tester and customer advisory board member for Oracle business intelligence products and consults with Oracle product management regularly.
Vice President of Consulting
Cathye has 23 years of experience working with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) technologies; 12 of those years have been with Vlamis. Prior to entering the Oracle BI world, Cathye owned her own insurance agency. As VP of Consulting Services, Cathye leads the consulting organization at Vlamis, matching consultant skills with client needs. She serves as a mentor and supports the consulting staff.
In addition to resource management, she serves as an account manager. She works with the client to identify needs, define goals, and fulfill the goals. She continues working with clients throughout all engagements and years after. She believes in growing her client relationship into friendships that last.
Cathye is passionate about creating a win/win environment. She strives to deliver on-time and on-budget projects that exceed our clients' expectation while allowing the Vlamis internal team to grow their skills. Her southern upbringing taught her to "treat others as you would like to be treated" and realizes it works just as well in corporate America as is does in small-town USA.
Cathye has recently implemented a Women in Technology mentoring program for young women looking to enter the technology industry. She also volunteers on the BIWA Summit planning committee and presents at various Oracle conferences.

An Oracle Ace and expert in the visualization of data and the design of business analytics strategies, Tim combines a strong background in the application of Oracle-based business analytics and data mining with extensive experience in business modeling and valuation analysis. Tim co-authored Oracle Press’s book titled, “Data Visualization for Oracle Business Intelligence 11g”.
Tim leads the Oracle Advanced Analytics practice at Vlamis in the development of statistical and predictive analytics workflows and processes. He is an acknowledged contributor to Oracle University’s Oracle Database 11g: Data Mining Techniques, Predictive Analytics with Oracle Data Mining, and Oracle R Enterprise Essentials courses and often serves as an expert instructor for them.
Tim’s international business experiences include leading partnership formations and dissolutions in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada, negotiating acquisitions in Mexico and Canada, and leading the establishment of a new business entity in India. He earned his Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) designation from the American Marketing Association and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business in Benedictine College’s Traditional and Executive MBA programs. Tim earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from Yale University.
